INFILTRATION COST ANALYSIS

The following is an analysis showing the significant reduction in treatment costs when leaks in manhole are repaired. There have been certain assumptions made in order to complete this study:

ONE MANHOLE LEAKING AT A RATE OF 10GPM
10 gpm x 60 minutes = 600 gph
6 00 gph x 24 hours = 14,400 gpd

TREATMENT COSTS
$2.00/1000 gals. x 14,400 gpd = $28.80 cost/day to treat infiltration from 10 gpm leak
$28.80/day x 365 days = $10,512.00 cost/year to treat infiltration from 10 gpm leak

SUMMARY:
Estimated cost to repair = $100.00 to $500.00
ANNUAL SAVINGS = $10,012.00 to $10,412.00
